Torchbearer is an unsigned metal band from South Wales and London formed in 2016 by guitarist/vocalist Ollie Gould, bassist Mo Bashir and vocalist Andy Mansell, with the current drummer Sol Radley joined at the start of 2023.
With influences ranging from Every Time I Die to Pantera, Torchbearer combines in-your-face riffs, vicious vocals and catchy melodies to create a distinctive sound. This sound is captured on the band’s two EPs and one studio album Solace, which was released in 2022.
Produced by Charlie Wilson (TRC, Counting Days), Solace provides a glimpse into Torchbearer's relentless ethos and approach with lyrics addressing racial prejudice, police brutality, corruption, confinement and mental health, leading to a blistering, visceral listen.
Now in 2023, Torchbearer have unleashd a new offering in the form of WARRIOR, the EP, as well as three blistering singles Vindication, The Warrior Spirit and Catharsis In Karma, out now.
Torchbearer has toured nationally and is known for their powerful live show, which eschews gimmicks and technology in favour of full-throttle, high-energy performance.
